Pulled out the old wood burner and giving all my wood grips make overs.
Huma 30mm with 3 section on the pistol comes with 4 sections It's made for .25 and it is quieter. 40ft lbs shouldn't be a problem. I have several 3d prints that work well also. Finding one might be pretty hard though.Gorgeous!!
What moderator do you have there? And what power are you shooting - and does the moderator work well? I'm looking for a very quiet moderator for the GK1 at about 30 to 40 ft-lbs.
It's a old fill probe for a spa pp700 pistol I no longer have. I cut down. Thanks! And what is your fill port 'button'? It looks like brass.
Holy Smokes!! Want to intro all three and explain the purpose of each? i.e. Caliber, power setting, etc.
No long distance backyard only. My shorty .25 shooting 20.06g 580fps shooting pill bottles offhand and cardboard. 177 on the right shooting 9.3 wad cutters 700 fps for sparrow and house finches. My .22 left shooting 21.9g 600 fps for squirrels and starlings.Holy Smokes!! Want to intro all three and explain the purpose of each? i.e. Caliber, power setting, etc.
What are the moderators? And which is most effective?
Also, have you tested accuracy of each at longer distances such as 50, 75, or even 100 yards?
Again, a most impressive stable!
Maybe a gray felt tip marker and a matte clear finish?I see. Wow, 4 hours just to burn the checker areas and the base of the grip. It sure looks nice. I would tempted to just use a dark gray translucent dye/pigment...LOL! ANd what finish to make it darker and slightly shiny?
so you used a little torch or something after masking the rest of the grip, or what exactly? Did you sand the rest of the grip as well, and apply different stain? can you provide more details....Thanks Ultralight that's very kind of you to say. Bout 2 hrs a side to burn. Practice on what you have on hand. My process just do it and do your best of your ability.
No masking no sanding no stain I wiped down the grip with soapy water flushed it off wiped it down paper napkin. Set it in the sun till dried. Went the the garage hung it on the garage door and opened the door and hit it with the polyurethane. Added pix of my burner bought it in 74 !so you used a little torch or something after masking the rest of the grip, or what exactly?
