Giving a little warmth to the Delta Wolf (anti-bling)

I was wondering the same thing. I was planning on stripping the grip, and refinishing it to match the color pieces I was making.

The wood on the grip is some type of Indian or African red hardwood. Very hard. Very red. It’s not stained. 

just for fun I tried finishing a piece of Koa with a cherry tinted reddish stain. I was not impressed with the results.

I like the shape of your last one you made but I agree with butch in that if you can manage color match on the wood it will be super nice.

I will have to decide if I want to color Koa red… I would hate to lose the magic grain. 


I was just kidding around when I set that piece on the barrel…However it looks really cool. So I will be making a koa barrel shroud for my Delta Wolf.

If I'm not mistaken, Home Depot sells those cheek rests by the foot. You can have a different color for each day of the week (month).
