Hatsan Give me the Bottom line on Jet II .177

I am an old boomer, I rehab old Air guns on occasion and have had more powder burners than I should have had. A young friend of mine sent me a Notos last year and I put in a new lever and trigger kit into it and I like it, but in .22 it is a blunderbuss to me. I want a .177 in a Notos size and weight. The Umarex Microstrike .177 may never make it to US shores at the price suggested with the current tariff picture. The Snowpeak PP750 .177 could be that gun but with that wire stock I'm not feeling it and again who knows what shipping costs or availability might be.

The Hatsan Jet II .177 seems to have a very checkered past especially in barrels. Is the Hatsan Jet II now reliable or is it still an "iffy" thing requiring DIY and/or several returns?

I had a jet 2 for my first pcp, but it was a few years ago. It was ok from what I remember, it was very basic. A little underpowered. Dovetail rail only. Non regulated, no power adjustment. I gifted it to a friend he still has it. No problems, no leaks or anything. I would wait for the micro strike see how that pans out. That looks like it could be a good gun.

I bought a Jet once. I don't know if it was just the one I got or what but, I couldn't get that thing back in the box and on it's way back to PA fast enough.
I do believe that is the only new gun that I ever bought and returned.
Fortunately PA worked with me and gave me a full refund to apply to a NOTOS. I still have that one and really like it.
