Gingerbread man at 102 yards con mi Atomic XR…

My wife gave me some old Christmas cookies to put out for the critters, and I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to shoot this little guy… 39 degrees, wind at 3 mph from my rear right. Sending CPHPs. Hit the can on end twice, but not solid enough to penetrate, the cookie and then the little can. 10 MILs of holdover and 1-1.5 MILs of hold off. Gentlemen, please understand that I’m just doing it for the fun of it. The bulk of my shooting is sub 50 yards. Many misses occurred before those hits. I can hold over easy enough, but the varying wind at that distance? Not so much. Just the same just having fun. Got a great laugh out of center punching that dangerous gingerbread man.

The gingerbread man proved harder to put down than I thought. He laugh at me, so I tried my best to powder him, but couldn’t. He took at least eight hits. That is one tough cookie! Hopefully a squirrel will finish what I couldn’t.😀 I also managed to hit the can on end a few more times. The WHT 3-12x44 FFP, is ill suited for this type of shooting. Particularly holding over at almost the bottom of the sight picture. But I’m only doing it simply for the giggles it gives me when I walk out to see the results. I’m a plinking fool and I love it.
