The 40gr slug at 863fps drops 1" for every yard at this distance. 

I have some 34gr on the way and should be able to push those at 940fps for a flatter trajectory. 

The margin for error is very small past 200 but 250 is doable. I can't say that I'll push for that anytime soon though.

Yes, I dial elevation for all my shots. My scope has 80moa of elevation (40 up/down). With standard scope rings, that's not enough adjustment for shots like these.

So I use FX NoLimits mounts. This is how I set it up.

1. I find the center of the elevation adjustment and then dial the turret down two full turns (now I have 60moa to dial Up).

2. I set the turret stop so it bottoms out.

3. I use the NoLimits rings to adjust elevation for zero at 25yds.

That's it.

That's enough adjustment for 250yds without hitting the physical limit of the scope.
