Ok had some extra "Bocote" wood ,i use it to make knife handles ,its by far one of the nicest woods to work with ,hard wood and always has great grain,i was going to make a whole stock but just didn't have the right size , so went with the handle, for now ...also i'm going to make the adjustable stock tomorrow, and the upper side plates just to give it that wood stock look ,not a fan of the ar style rifles just maybe this will make it look a little less AR ,this gun is a real shooter , so i would't care if it was the strangest looking gun ever it just shoots nice ...better than my vulcan ,,, ok so for now phase 1 and 2 of the handle build ,cut and shape, tomorrow i will finish sanding shape a little more "just get the rough out and then bees wax it or oil not sure i use a natural bee's wax on my knife handles seems to work nice... anyway heres a look .
