Get back into airguns and what I am looking at now......

Well I use to be heavy into the airgun thing until I was bitten by the metal detecting hobby. Well now with beach renourishment coming into my area I want be going to the beach as much as I want to. So looking at get a few airguns again.

Money is tight so can't get into this the hot and heavy like I wanted. I have already found a foot pump cheap. Now trying to figure out which rifle to get. I am looking at the Nova Freedom or the Umarex Gauntlet. Which of these rifles is the quietest for neighborhood friendly shooting. Without a question going to get it in 22cal but not for hunting just paper punching. I just like 22cal. I like the fact the Umarex Gauntlet is a regulated gun and so is the Nova Freedom in away because you can maintain pressure by just pumping with the on board pump. Too let you guys know I will be getting other guns as funds are available so the hand pump will be used till I can get a compressor.

If going with a foot pump, look at the Maximus. I know it's got limitations, and will need a moderator after the fact, but the fill pressure is 2000 PSI, and you can get a reg later if you really want it. My Marauder is a 2800 PSI fill (Max 3000) and when you hit about 2200 or 2500 PSI, it's a real bear to pump up. Unless you are young and healthy (which I am neither), the 2000 psi fill is a real game changer. Even my 1701P Pistol is a bit of a bear when you hit 2500 PSI and it's a very small air reservoir.

Pumping something like the Gauntlet would just take all the fun out of it. (IMHO)
