General Membership Growth

I love this site, there are a bunch of good folks here and in the year and half I've been a member have only seen a couple personal attacks and they were by the same member.
Having said that I feel the mods here (at least one) are a little heavy handed. I replied to a for sale ad with "PM sent" and received a PM from a mod that I had until the next day to fix it or he would and I would receive a strike because I didn't follow the rules. I read the rules and changed my post to a question only because I couldn't delete my post. I guess it worked because I didn't get a strike against me, whatever that means. What's sad is the seller did because he didn't post "SPF" in the title of his ad in the apparent allotted time. It was really my fault because I was at work and couldn't respond to the PM the seller sent me until I got home the next morning. I work 12 hour swing shifts and can't always respond immediately.
In my opinion it's a chicken crap way to handle things and to hide behind a "mod #" and not a actual user name. I have never intentionally broke any of the forum rules here or the many other car, gun and SXS forums I'm on. What's more chicken crap is giving the seller mentioned above a strike for something he had no control over.

I haven't been into the air gun world for very long. But, I have learned a tremendous amount in a pretty short period of time thanks in large part to this forum. I have poked around and posted a bit in another large AG forum and really just don't care for it that much other than just sometimes reading old posts for information. Here, on the other hand, I really enjoy being a part of this group. Everyone has been friendly and helpful to me at all times thus far. Members here seem to be willing to offer input, advice and just general help at any time. I have noticed many simply offer encouragement to some that are having difficulties getting something accomplished. It's my goal to always be helpful in any way that I can here as well. That is what makes this a good place.....Friendly, Welcoming, Helpful and a Willingness of members to Share Knowledge.
