I just purchased a Gen 1 .22 marauder with a Huma regulator installed. I will fill the gun to 3k psi and the gauge on the regulator reads 3k. After 10 shots, the regulator will settle in at 2200psi. I can get a ton of shots at 2200psi reg setting. My question is this. Why does it take 10 shots for the regulator to settled in at 2200 psi? I know this isn’t right, but where do I start the fix? I’m not new to airguns and regulators. I’m also familiar with airgun tuning. I’ve never seen this before.
