Marauder hammer spring is frozen solid, will not turn. Still getting 785 fps at 2600 psi, but used to get 850 fps

Not too certain what the above to posters read into your post?
Naturally one would not think your spring it's self is "frozen solid" rather I'm thinking with slightly different verbage, your hammer spring adjuster is frozen.
t I personally dont think the problem is the breech seal, nor the sping ( unless maybe one end got into the threads? ).
Pop off the rear end cap and have a look, not much to it at all & if needed crosman parts are very economically priced & fast delivery.

Could be some small thing ( a spring end) got in there, could be gailing but I've not seen that. Cant be anything difficult. Post up a picture of what you find for us eh?

If you can give us a little more information, we might be able to talk you through this. If you have never adjusted anything on the gun from the factory settings, we need to know that. If you have adjusted it, what caliber is it, and you need to explain how the hammer spring is frozen. Do you know if it is backed out all the way, or is it in all the way?. This info can help us in the diagnosis. Should not be a difficult task to figure out.

I think I figured it out, screw at rear of hammer spring section/ tube was too tight, binding rotation, or missing a spacer, put it back together filled, now waiting pressure test. thanks everyone
