Gamo Whisper Rifles

I have the Swarm Maxim .22 cal, and in terms of accuracy and for me personally, I get mixed results at 20-25 yards at an indoor shooting range I frequent. Fun to plink with in the backyard but I do confess to having accuracy issues shooting off of a rest for FT. Although I have taken squirrels at 15-20 yards with the Swarm, I prefer using my DS Regal XL .22 for longer distance and much more accurate shot placement, as you would expect with a higher end PCP.

Other posters have had better accuracy results, so their feedback should help balance the accuracy equation/questions you posed.

Good luck.

Like I said in a different post - one of my rifles is a Hornet Maxxim 22 with the IGT. It took me awhile to figure out which pellets it preferred, and some of the groups (@ 25 yrds) were terrible when I first started on pellet experimentation.

Like alot of people, I tried the 14.3 grain, domed, Crosman Premiers right off the bat. And although they grouped on occasion, most of my 5 shot groups were 1.5 to 2 inches, which is completely unacceptable at 25 yards.

On a whim, I decided to try a lead free pellet (GTO) at only 11.75 grains, and the rifle instantly tightened up to 1/2 and 1" groups, consistently. I've been experimenting with the RWS Hobby Match pellets @ 11.9 grains here lately. And although they group just as good as the GTO's at 25, they loosen up a fair amount at 50. But they are match type, so it's too be expected I suppose. However, the RWS pellets are MUCH cheaper than the GTO's.

Just my experience with the IGT system and Gamo rifle.

I did not mention it, but I too had good luck with the Alloys (GTO Predator) in terms of good groups at 20 yards and pretty good at 25 yards. I think Steve mentioned these also in his Swarm AEAC review.

Fun gun, but not as accurate as I was hoping for and was not crazy about the trigger either. I tried to loosen up both first stage and second stage, but it did not seem to do much if anything on pull.

OP - hope someone can answer your original question.
