Gamo Urban first blood

Bought a used Gamo Urban about a month ago but due to the crazy shipping delays I just received five days ago. Got it sighted in and went out this morning to the wooded area of our property. Took these two grays at around 15 yards from my ground blind.

I love my urban. So far, it's the best feeling and shouldering gun I own. That stock is just plain comfortable. I found the best pellets for mine are the JSB 18s and H&N Hornets. I like the hornets for hunting - a little faster and flatter, and capable of punching through a piglets skull if one happens along.

I got three big tree rats laying out under my red tips, now - they like to visit my bird feeders. My FX Royale 400, shooting 21.39gr H & N Baracuda Match pellets at around 834.5 fps, took 'em out with head shots, at around 25 yards. When the rain lets up, I'll roll out in my wheelchair and get 'em. Gonna eat good tonight.

Looks like there will be many more that will need to yield in the face of that unforgiving Urban ...

Has the trigger mod been done on yar gun yet? If your trigger feels heavy, replace the 2nd stage set screw by a longer M 2.5. I did this on mine and it became a sweet 2stage almost in a heartbeat. The already scary accuracy became downright terrifying to those fast-flying psittacula kramerii.

Parrotculler, yes I did the trigger mod. I think it was after this hunt though....... Makes a major difference!

I like the urban stock so much I put a coyote in one. I also put Charlie da tuna grt4 triggers in my Coyotes and urban. Way better feel and crisp feedback at break point. Fairly simple and it’s gold. When the trigger’s gold the squirrel will fold!
