Tuning Gamo Swarm Fusion GEN3I - Zero scoping problems

Hello Everyone- I just bought the Game Swarm Fusion and I am trying to Calibrate my factory scope (zero scope) and I'm having problems. I am shooting at a distance of 45 Feet. When I calibrate for the RIGHT target and get multiple shots (very close to the bull's eye)- my LEFT target is way off (about 2 inches to the bottom right)- though it can group my 3-4 shots close to my previous shots. And If I calibrate for the RIGHT target, then my LEFT target is off.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to fix this problem? I think I have shot about 150 rounds. I tried calibrating the scope 4-5 times and ensured all the screws were tight.

Thank you

Steve

I think you want to use the same target when doing zero. Aim at the exact same spot each time. Adjust only windage or elevation per shot; not both at once. Also if your scope if variable; max the zoom. Prettyuch how I do mine.🤷‍♂️

Thats what I did... I zeroed my sight on one target.. but when I shot a target only 8 inches apart from the zeroed target I am way off.. its about 4 inches from the target but it does group? Why is that?

Could be several things. That stock scope is hard to maintain the same eye relief and picture . I noticed that with the stock scopes when putting five or six targets on a cardboard box. POI would change from top to bottom due to the fact that various cheek welds will all work. Use one and only one cheek weld so your eye is lined up the same each time. That factory scope has no parallax to speak of. I used to use a piece of velcro stuck on the stock for a cheek positioner long ago. It helped teach me how to maintain the same cheek weld each time.

You are without knowing it changing your trigger pull, even the position of your trigger finger must stay the same every time. It only takes a smigeon to throw you off.

You are changing your hold, it can be as simple as the pressure of the stock on your shoulder, or holding the rifle more forward or back. Change targets and shift around to get comfortable and you may be holding the rifle in a different position without knowing it.

Or it is not you at all. My new Gen 3i bone collector that factory scope loved to walk the walk backwards and after egging the pin hole the recoil pin sheared right off. All of a sudden my shots were off and looking at the mount it was jammed all the way back to the rear screw they have in their recoil reducing rail.

A new Gen3i Fusion out of the box yesterday. Intended for a Christmas present. Average velocity is like 732-728-721-730-730. A bit over 18 fpe with the 15.4 grain Red Fire pellet. Shots are at 35 yards after a prior quick sight in. The bottom right shows me walking the group up moving the elevation a bit and walking the final zero in. I was doing the same on the middle target then put around 20 shots into it. The top two are ten shot groups and the top left is where I was getting used to the gun. I have one so called flyer, a bit to the right and that was me as I got eager on the trigger pull.

If you look at the scope it is a Hawke 4-12 airmax and once again to use it versus the crappy factory scope I had to file the rear stop screw down a bit and using a cobalt drill made a recoil pin hole in the stop screw itself, this allows the use of a full size scope mounted all the way back on the magical recoil reducing rail.
The top left group is right at 1/2 inch if you let me toss out my mistake with the one shot.
These little rifles are light, accurate and great for offhand and walking the woods.

Them multi bullseye targets do me the same funny for me its the top left and bottom right bulls that are off one side or the other. The rest are near dead zero on . So i figure its a optical illusion drawing my eyes off or just my poor old eyes dont paarellx good anymore..

I had pictures of this but cleaned them out last week. Just in time for now i need one to show..

Just to add this is shooting open sight/ stick irons .

Single bulls ... Drive em home all day..

I wasted a lot of pellets wanting to get a grip on this and find a correction .. so now i assume its my vision in older age..

If the get time to shoot one or find a old yarget paper ill re post.

P.s...

Man the gamo package scopes aint too great. I think of 4 , one he lfs zero but cant focus well but if set on 7 power its fine . The rest .. well lets just say pretty much dust collectors.
So dont put confidants in one . There great if you ran a carnival shooting gallery and dont want any winner's..lol

I think i got a gamo @ ?? Yards post here using the one good package scope.
