Gamo Swarm .177 cal

I like them enough I'm getting another arriving in a day or two. It'll be my 3rd. 10x gen2 .177 magnum. my next open-sight #backyardplinker.

I enjoy the fiber-optic sights on gamo rifles.

BUUUUUUUUUT, IMO, as fun as the multi-shot system is, and how convenient to just carry a few mags around instead of a loose tin of pellets...

... There are better break-barrels to spend $300+ on. Especially if you have long-term ownership in mind. (me, I keep a gun a year or two at most so far)

Let us know which way ya go!

As long as it's a gen 2 you should be good to go. The first generation ones have a tendency to break. A lot.

Aside from that, I would just get a single shot regardless. One less thing to break and Gamo QC is far from great. I also found both of mine to be more accurate with the loading mechanisms removed anyway.

Final thought, replace the scope that comes with it pretty much immediately. My first one made it less than a magazine before breaking while my second one made it maybe a month or two.

+1 on trashing the scope that comes with it. It's just a scope to say they gave you a scope with it. You'll probably spend close to if not more on a Hawke or UTG BugBuster but you'll be thankful. You may be able to find a decent CenterPoint that will work. The Swarm, Wildcat Whisper, Silent Cat and Bone Collector I've had past experience with all worked great with no issues in function or breakage. But the scope was trash.

I do like the wood Gamo is using of recent years. So much so I took the whisper fusion mach1 rifle and put it into some new furniture. All the benefits of the IMO more accurate "Whisper" but a lot more handsome with the "Bone Collector" stock. :)

The swarm 10x went into the mach1 body, with a few modifications.

What it looked like before I got my hands on it:
