Gamo magnum guys

Vortex scope, what model?
I like the Vortex Diamondback the most. Great scope for the money. The one I have on my Gamo Magnum has survived at least ten tins of 500 pellets without a problem.

As for the Bone Collector which is the subject in this discussion, you are limited to certain scopes simply due to the design of the rifle. When Gamo designed the 10 shot magazine system that is fantastic, the design also conflicts with many longer scopes. The standard scope furnished with the rifles is appox 11 inches long. This allows clearance for the upward swing of the loading system. Longer scopes conflict with the loading system.
So I went with a Vortex 4 by 12 Crossfire 2 as it is 13 inches long. Even so due to turrets and rifle and scope design to obtain proper eye relief I used a dovetail to picatinny adapter and a set of picatinny scope rings. Once mounted and tested and I like the set up, I remove each and every screw one by one and apply Loctite and reinstall.

I have been playing with my also new Gen 3i Fusion and I was so disgusted with it I threatened to toss it in the dumpster. Grin!! Yesterday it all came together and I am getting 1/2 inch groups at 30 yards. This is pushing on the tail of my HW rifles as far as accuracy. Unfortunately the rifle has chosen the GTO Predator 11.75 no lead pellet which it shoots at 855 fps for 19 fpe. The new and better price of these things is 28 bucks for 200.......AAAARRRRRRGGGGGG!!!

Shooting springers is my hobby if and when a new one comes along, I will buy it and play with it. Just because I can.

Cheers
