GAMO Knock 'em Down target gets PUNISHED!

I picked up one of these GAMO Knock 'em down field target practice targets to try out. It's rated for up to 20 fpe and I think it would be a good target for someone that's shooting in that lower energy zone. It's rare for me to shoot in that energy zone but, I wanted to seesaw the target would hold up if I pushed it a little bit farther. Well... more like, a LOT farther!

It is a fun target. We've had one for several years and it has been a good one for the kids to practice on or to get family and friends shooting when company is over.

However the fact they designed it with a gut shot killzone always annoyed me. Probably fine with that .45 cal you're shooting but I had to do something about it.





I know that was just for silly fun but if anyone is looking for a more robust reactive target without dropping a lot of coin, this target on Amazon is pretty beefy. No doubt it's just mild steel but a generous 0.200" thick.
