Yes, more leverage. However, if you get too long, it will be hard to brace the gun close to you to cock. You need to overlap the barrel with a tight fit, say 4", so it does not slip off and cause injury or damage your gun, plus you need room say 4", for your cocking hand besides the length needed to get leverage. I get a 4 feet piece of PVC pipe and start out with say 8" and go bigger till you are just past barely cocking it. Try it out first, very carefully, to watch for any tendency to slip. Levers have a safety issue with using them. Seriously, I would probably buy another gun. You can usually find a review that will measure the cocking force. You would have to sacrifice some power to get a reasonable cocking force in most cases. There are cheap guns out there with low cocking force.
