Gamo Coyote opinions

Bought one YEARS ago when they first came out. Very solid guns, but understand that the limiting factor on these in the trigger. I improved mine by installing a CDT trigger (the Gamo triggers will fit although you will need spacers). It improved the experience but even then the trigger is only so so.

Never had any issues with leaks or that sort of thing. The only "quality" issue I had with the gun was that the cocking always felt very very mushy. Substantially worse than a marauder or other "budget" bolt gun. The magazine also prevents the use of a sidewheel and I don't think Gamo/BSA ever released a single shot adapter

I hope your brother enjoys the gun!

Just bought one and a few things. I have not cleaned the barrel so there is that. I used to own it’s little brother the urban. The urban I had shot much much better than this coyote. The yote seems to not like crosman 14 variants much at all. Very disappointing as I have a bunch. The coyote of course being un regulated will vary velocity across the curve. The coyote, for whatever reason, seems to vary point of impact across the curve much more than my gamo urban did. The coyote has a slightly larger air cylinder yet I’m seeing no more shots. 2 mags and refill from a just under 3k pressure fill. If you fill over 3k your initial shots are quite a bit lower poi and poi climbs quite a bit as you shoot. So far I liked the gamo urban much much more. This gun is in dire need of a regulator and larger air cylinder. Is def in no way shape or form worth the new price tag of 450-520 dollars I’ve seen. It’s an ok 40 yard gun so far. I will clean the barrel and see what happens. However, I didn’t clean my urban and it was lights out to 45-50 even with cheap crosman pellets.
