I was shooting Prairie Dogs last month I had a Hatsan Gladius .22 and a friends Vulcan .25. On the last day I had a few dogs pop up within 30 yards, of course they only showed me their heads. I was noticing that I was missing but the pellet was hitting where the dog was when using the Gladius, and figured out that the dog was ducking the pellet. It is my belief that the noise from the hammer spring and mechanism was pretty loud. I bought Taipan and seems to be much quieter and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.
