FX Wildcat walnut upgrade pt 1.

A bit ago BH was looking to swap a Walnut FX Wildcat stock for a composite stock. It got me thinking about upgarding my WC stocks to nice walnut. Since there isnt a lot to chose from, I decided I needed to take it into my own hands. I've made several $2k+ shotgun stocks, but hand inletting two or more airgun stocks didnt seem the best use of my time. So I decided I needed to make a gunstock duplicator.

Here is the almost finished product. I disassembled it today to gussy it up with a coat of paint. But after the holiday weekend I'll be ready to test it out. I made it extra wide to be able to do guitars for my brother, but other than that it should accommodate any size stock I need to duplicate. Cost was about $400-$500, plus the table my plasma cutter decided needed to catch on fire. A story I will onky tell at a bar after a few whiskeys. It took 2-3 days to build, 90% of that was adjusting to extremely tight tolerances.

I already bought 2 exhibition and 2 very fancy grade walnut blanks. Im a wood guy, so I can't wait to see my Wildcats with nice wood. Ill post pics.
