Tuning FX Wildcat MKIII bipod mount

I purchased a FX picatinny rail that I was going to attach under my stock for a bipod. Today, i saw this video where the Wildcat has a mount that does not require screwing into the stock.

Does anyone know who makes this mount? Thanks!

I bought my Wildcat from Utah Airguns. Great shop, they sell a polymer rail for the Wildcat:

I got the FX brand picatinny rail from Airgun Depot. The UA version is plastic and has more slots. The FX version is shorter but is aluminium.

There are certainly no wrong way to go here, just personal preferences. Considering the Saber Tactical piece to avoid drilling into my stock.

I wouldn’t trust those tiny screws to keep that rail in place. All it takes is a few sessions on the bipod, leaning forward into it, and those screws will wallow/strip out. What gets me is those same two screws issued out with those rails are suppose to work on all three types of stocks offered in the wildcat platform- walnut, laminate, and synthetic.

If you’ve ever pulled the stock off of a synthetic stock more than once, you’ll understand when I say in time those screws will strip/yank out, as the stock screws in and out on synthetic start like “reaming” out the holes in the stock. Just the spring back snap when the bipod is deployed open will start yanking on those screws.

The best method is to bore out and use the inserts like TOMINCO has posted up in the past, and epoxy in the inserts for a tough, forever strong, bolt on deal.

Just put a rail on my Wildcat yesterday. I ordered a rail with a curved base from aliexpress. I had to cut it to length and drill it, I also added a rubber pad to stop it marking the stock. The Stock is super easy to drill. Perfect holes with no tear out.

[edit] - the stock material is softish. So as bigragu says I drilled right through and drilled a recess, but used a nut and washer rather than the t nuts.
