Ok so I bought a huma plenum and dual transfer port for this new wildcat mk3 sniper

I didn’t end up using the plenum, as I want to retain the external reg pressure adjustment and also waiting for the Ernest plenum

Whilst I have seen an increase of around 35fps with just the dual transfer port, there seems to be a couple of issues since reassembly

firstly, the air tube pressure gauge isn’t working now. What have I done wrong for this gauge not to be working now?

also, when I fire it I can see the reg gauge moving, but also I can hear air release from the block area ... it sounds as though it’s just the reg pressure building back up ... is this right?

For the air tank pressure gauge I would de-gas the tube, pull the gauge and check the o-ring. When my Impact's pressure gauge did as you describe, pulled it and found a fragmented o-ring. There were pieces of the o-ring blocking the hole in the gauge, preventing any air pressure from reaching the gauge.

Also, the the sound of air refilling the plenum space is commonplace on my Impact when I have the regulator dialed up. Nothing of significance.

I

i went to empty the air tube again, as the air was coming out ... I also had air coming out of the small hole for the reg pressure adjustment ... is this normal or will I now have to go into the reg to change o rings?

Tube pressure gauge still not working, the black washer goes in first and then the gauge ... maybe I’ve missed something here?

Do I understand well now from your last reply that your tube was leaking through the hole in the airtube when you had the HIUMA installed ? But I thought you wrote

“I didn’t end up using the plenum, as I want to retain the external reg pressure adjustment and also waiting for the Ernest plenum.”

Why don’t you re-install the AMP reg and keep external adjustment option . You add an external plenum and the sun shines again. The front gauge issue is a good reqson to install a better gauge ( Huma / Wiko has those working nicely )

Here is a wild guess as to what happened.

The MKlll wildcat is supposed to have a larger plenum from FX installed.

That would mean that the adjustment hole for the amp reg would be in a different place than on a MKll Wildcat with amp reg.

The Huma plenum may be sized for a MKl or a MKll putting the adjustment hole right over the joint between reg and plenum.

You could either cut down the Huma plenum a bit to get the O ring on the reg behind the hole, or stack the Huma plenum and FX spacer to get the Huma plenum O rings to seal with the adjustment hole between them.
