HI can someone tell me , which power plenum will fit the New wildcat MK3 , I saw pictures here with a plenum installed , which one fits it ? thanks LOU
I sent my mkiii sniper in to service, complaining of the lower than advertised power.
After 3 weeks now, they've said they are waiting on a batch of wc specific power plenums that are required to reach the advertised power level. While on one hand I am thrilled that I don't have to install it, I am disappointed they didn't ship from the factory in a configuration that meet expectations and advertised performance levels.
I would advise you to call or email fx usa support, and inquire as well.

Makes me wonder if the WC mk3's will start shipping with a power plenum factory installed.

I just installed the 1.5 plenum and I warn you to get the right size oring in addition don't use the old oring unless your going to apply silicone grease, just a light coat and snug the cap down good. Keep in mind that this a a HIGH PRESSURE air tube. place everything back as you found it and buy a Tanto moderator and your good. OH yeah one more thing, adjust your regulator between 150 and 200. DONT EXCEED 200 reading on the regulator.
1)I know of a 1.2 and a 2.5” plenum but not a 1.5” plenum . ( or a 1” DL plenum ) So what did you exactly install and Where did you get that size from ? Or is it an internal plenum you talk about ?
2) For any o-rin a little silicone will do good and all parts should be snug together always and using the right o-ring is also always the only option .
3) Why buy a Tanto moderator and not some other brand ?
4) your advise on regulator setting is absolute useless and wrong / dangerous !
5) please note that things you post on this forum that could lead to dangerous situations or are wrong informations in the first place are not so much appreciated by most. Your posting is full of this....
cheers

Let me apologize and correct my post starting here with you first.
1) 1.2 plenum from 910 Airgun tuning
That sounds more familiar
2) Go to The Oring store and they'll suggest a slightly harder and durable oring and of course apply silicone grease not lube, there is a difference.
Normally o-rings are provided ( at least 3 pieces) with the 910 AT delivery... Newman Buck knows what O-rings he provide..
3) The Tanto fits better for the length of which my air tube perturbes.
There are many alternatives as well for that length
4) The manual has do not exceed 160 I believe but experimentation is what makes this airguns evolutionary. After installing a 2.5 plenum you may or may not feel comfortable going pass 160, in that case don't. Of course keep in mind your warrantee so that you do not void it.
It would be useful in case you would mention your caliber , type and the sort of projectiles plus desired speed you are into. Then maybe these very high reg settings could make sense which I doubt anyway. Having a powerplenum and setting the reg higher than 160 makes me very curious what you are sending out of that barrel at what speed . At such high reg settings you also enter into “hammer issues” like the weight of the hammer and springpower needed to open the valve.... Tell us some more of your adventures and experiments with your WC MK3 ...
cheers

Don't mean to hijack, but I'd like to know the pros/cons of the 1.2" vs the 2.5" plenums. I've got a couple of 2.5" units from ernest yet be installed, one for a .22 compact, and one for a .25 MK#3 compact. Is the 2.5" overkill for .22? I use a narrow mod, so clearance shouldn't be a problem. What other considerations are there?
