FX Wildcat MK2 regulator gauge?

Watching all the youtube videos I can on the FX line especially Wildcat MK2 and AOA has a few. The tech removed the stock and then the brass plug on the side of the action to drain the air from the cylinder. He then made a change to the regulator and installed a normal 1/8 in air gauge where the brass plug was. That allowed him to see what the regulator was set at. He then removed the gauge and re-installed the brass plug and re-installed the stock. My question is this, the dreamline lite and most all of the new dreamlike FX series have both gauges. One for tube and one for regulator. Am I nuts or is all that's needed for the second gauge is a notch taken out of the stock to accommodate the gauge to the stock. I have a HUMA regulator in one of my Marauder P-rod's and when installed the only gauge on it reads the reg pressure and not the tank. Easy to see when the reg pressure starts to drop. Thoughts?

OK, I did it and now need a gauge. I have 4 and the threads are close but are different. Are there ANY dealers in the USA that sell Huma, or WIKA or any good FXgauge replacement. My tube gauge is off at least 35 bar. I have already emailed FX USA but they are slower than a low life paying rent. Europe ( HUMA) says 1 week to 8. I can't believe someone in the US doesn't sell a 23 mm gauge that is close to accurate. I will be asking on a new topic. WIKA or Huma are advertised everywhere but I guess I'm to snag old to find one. WOW, just found them. Edgun West

Something to think about, and you’re really gonna have to “pretend you’ve done notched your stock out and went thru with a permanent gage install” is this:

When you see that the reg setting is the same as it was time and time again, the newness will wear off on a cool looking gage on the side like the more expensive guns have.

Once you put a better non adjustable regulator in, the Reading on that gage will never change(except for that one odd duck).

when you decide to sell your gun, what are the chances that it will bring value to the potential buyer?

Lastly, as was brought up by another member, if your a right handed shooter, hows that gage gonna feel against your face should it ever fail? Probably slim chances it’ll fail, but what if?

I used that hole to mount a Wika gage in to initially check gage pressure, before I invested in a reg pressure tester. But once I saw I had everything set right, I replaced the brass plug and forgot about it, and my gun stock is still intact. I believe poor accuracy, should it come one day, will lead you to recheck the reg anyway as one of the troubleshoots, so why have a gage there in the first place?

Just like buthchering the stock to access the hammer nut. Unless locktighted down, that hammer nut will move on you, so why drill out a hole to better access a hammer adjustment but that you want permanently locked down anyway? You can shoot over a chronograph w/o the stock.

Just my opinion folks. No bashing or down playing intended. A replacement synthetic stock is very expensive, let alone the walnut or laminate. I wanted to share my thoughts before you all ended up with regrets.

I had ordered two Wika gages to mount in the air release hole of both my wildcats, and after much thought, I decided against it, and cancelled my order. I’m very glad I did.

Wow! Jack! Jack Nicholson is that really you? I didn't know you were an airgunner sir! Anyway, it seems you may have had a little too much Jack, Mr. Nicholson...Avm916 simply asked if anyone knows where he can get a new air pressure gauge for his Wildcat and he described it as,"The one that sits in front of the gas tube?" I believe that means the one on the front of the air fill tube... I don't understand how you juxtaposed that to mean he wanted to put an air gauge on the side of the block on his Wildcat? Unless of course you and Mr. Daniels have been at it again Jack? 🍺 Here have a beer on me Jack! 😂
