FX Wildcat MK2 .25 shot string question.

Hello. My first post and question. Really like the information sharing from everyone.

Wanted to see if I could tune for a bit more power out of this rifle with just playing with the hammer spring. Having no way to adjust or actually know what my reg pressure is set at, thought I'd just make due on adjusting the hammer to find it's peak.

I ended up with the hammer cap 6 1/4 turns in from first hitting the back thread. I did shot strings 1/4 turn at a time, and found that at 6 3/4 the fps was dropping. So then did my back up turning to find a sweet spot.

Filled to 230 bar going by my gage on fill bottle that I trust. The wildcat seems to be off by 10bar. (On the lower end) in comparison to my other rifles. Stopped string when I knew it was falling off the reg. Which read 125 bar on the rifle gauge. That appears to be 54 shots with the Jsb 26.54 Hades

Here is the shot string I stopped at. Getting low on lead, so any help would be appreciated if I should call it good.

Well, only you can decide if you can call it good, but it seems just fine to me.

My WC II shoots the Hades at an average muzzle velocity of 891 fps over about 50 shots, and I was good with those numbers (and the accuracy it has shown) so I have not tried to tune it any further.

With the 25.39 JSB standard round nose pellet mine shoots an average of 904 fps, which is to be expected due to improved aerodynamics over the Hades. And that number is actually identical to what Airgun Depot reported in their guide to the WCII:

So you have gotten a little more power out of your gun with your hammer spring adjustments, and have likely achieved what you can power wise without more substantial modifications, reduced shot count, louder muzzle report and added stress on the gun's inner workings.

Thank you. Just was curious if this looked normal in consistency, and if it needed improvement. It's in 700mm and I put in the stx supiour barrel. Wanted to see if I could get a bit more out of her for some slug shooting. Once I get to shooting paper outside, (instead of shooting shot strings at firewood here in the house ha ) I'll adjust according for accuracy then. Here in Northern Michigan weather not so good. Burr!
