I just picked up a new to me wildcat mk1. 22 cal. I was wondering if anyone had installed a huma regulator and power plenum? Did it make a huge difference over stock? Looking for more shots less power for backyard target shooting.

Also after I pull the trigger the gun makes a little air transfer noise. Is that the regulator refilling the plenum?

Being a first gen you're not going to be shooting slugs out of a smooth twist. JSBs shoot great out of that barrel. I purchased one new years ago in .25 I still have it. I just put it over the chrony, still shooting 880 fps for lots of shots. 

My reg squeeks also, most consistantb gun I own. Just shoot it...

I installed the Huma regulator in my 25 cal Wildcat MKll and later installed the XL power plenum. With the regulator only it was set @ 135 bar and tuned for 907 fps. I would get 48 shots per fill. With the Power plenum installed to achieve the same fps my regulator is now @ 117 bar and I can get 64 shots per fill. It was a very good upgrade for my Wildcat. Word to the wise, have extra o-rings on hand for the Plenum and air tube bottom cap (same o-ring). It is easier to just change these out everytime you degas the gun and remove these parts. I have tried to use the same o-rings because they looked fine and they would often leak and had to repeat process to change them out.

Mine is a .25 but I put both upgrades in my gun. At 150 bar the velocity with 33.95 grain MK2 heavies went from about 840 to 890fps. The standard 25.4 JSB's jumped from 880 to 940 fps..
