FX Wildcat magazine cycling alignment

When you load the mag you must manually turn it until you hear it click it place. Then be sure to pull the lever all the way back. If you still have problems call FX. I had a little learning curve when I got mine last August. No problems since then.

Yup, even on .22...push in firmly then slowly rotate down until a small click is heard/felt. Then work the lever slow and deliberate. After I load them this way no issues.

It is an mk1 .25 cal. Have never had it apart. It usually happens when I am cycling fast for a second shot. That’s why I think it is me. It happens in the middle of the magazine. Not always the same spot . And not all the time. Right now my best guess is that in the heat of the moment, hurrying to get off a second shot, I may be cocking the lever too fast or not far enough back?

The 30s sometimes will over spin the magazine when indexing. A simple fix is to put an oring around the nipple on the mag, this will slow it down and fix the indexing issue. Call me Wednesday at Utah Airguns and I can talk you through it.

This is a great tip, thanks. I had this difficulty with my new Wildcat MK2 in .30 & knew I'd eventually get used to getting it right. As soon as I read this I went & got my Harbor Freight o-ring kits in SAE & Metric. One of the SAE o-rings fit perfectly & solved the problem when I tried it. I think it was the 3rd smallest o-ring. I then took a toothpick and touched with super glue a couple of tiny spots on the magazine where the o-ring sits to hopefully help secure it in place. It feels much better and the o-ring seems to have made the indexing "click" even sound louder. We'll see if it stays in place. It seemed to be a good fit even without the glue.
