FX Wildcat hammer measurements.

Hello everyone! My English isn’t the prettiest, but I hope you all understand anyway, I’m not entirely sure that I’m in the right place on the forum for this kind of post but I hope so.

I have a little problem with my wildcat..

the charging/loading handle set screws went sliding on the charging rod due to double loading, and the tolerances for the hammer charging rod/pin “the pin that pushes the hammer to it’s “cocked position” 

it’s supposed to push the hammer back and then move away with enough clearance for the hammer to strike the valve? But in my case it was not any longer adjusted right so my hammer got damaged in the process and I tried to fix the problem before I even realized that it would be good to take som measurements on the hammer before I try to shave some material off. so that I can fabricate a new one? I’m planning to harden it to 55-60HRC. 

I was 100% sure that the retailer had the hammer in stock but that wasn’t true and there is probably weeks away for a new original one, the original one doesn’t seem to be hardly hardened at all.. 



is anyone kind enough to take the hammer out and make some accurate measurements of it?

i will of course make the weight the same,

I, also would like some instructions. How to measure probe depth. My measurements come up way off what i read in the forum. Forum says 28,55-28,88. From where to where, exactly. A pic or diagram would help this simple minded pelletier!

You have to measure from the back of the block. 

It is the hole closest to the cheek rest (upper) “the pushrod pin guide hole” there’s 3 holes in diagonal orientation at the back. Measure out to flush with the block, and the 4th hole is where the hammer tension spring and adjustment screw is located.

That’s the dimension I’m looking for, I was dumb enough to modify it before taking measurements, I’m also looking for overall dimensions,
