FX wildcat .25

EDIT, first group at 50 yards added below.......also this gun IS ABSOLUTLEY WHISPER QUIET in my opinion

I finally got my wildcat, this is my first FX rifle and I'm very pleased with it so far.

I do have one question tho, the first thing I noticed when I unboxed it was that the air cylinder is not center in the stock.

Is this normal, and if not how can I correct it? Here's a few poor iPhone pictures, thanks in advance

I have a 25 wildcat also. Try loosing the two screws that hold the stock on, center your stock and retighten. I can move mine slightly one way or the other that way. The wildcats are great guns.

I was able to loosen the two stock screws and center the air tube/barrel, but as soon as I snug the screws back down it goes right back to being off center like in the pictures above

Thats a bummer. doubt it affects the operation, but you want it right. I would think it has to be where the stalk mates to the gun and the two mounting screws hold it that it's not exactly square. Try tightening one screw at a time and see if its on just one or both. Maybe there is a plastic burr on one side that didn't get cleaned off. Other then that ask who you bought it from what they want to do about it. FX has been exceptional taking care of its customers. If you bought it from AOA they have been great also.

Nice gun, I have the .22 BP version on order, can't wait for it to show up. The only thing I can think of is either the holes in the stock were drilled off center, or the female threads on the gun itself are off center.

I don't have a Wildcat but on my Cricket, you don't have to tighten the screws much. In fact, it's better if you don't. They make the inletting a precise and snug fit so you don't have to over-torque the screws as it can shift the POI. 

When end I first took my Cricket out of the stock, I tightened the screws until they couldn't move any further and it shifted the POI 2" to the right at 20 yards. Try loosening them. If the inletting is good, it shouldn't need much torque to keep the action firmly in-place. I keep mine at least a half turn looser than the tightest it could be.

If it is still to the side of where it should be, I would send it back or it will annoy you every time you look at it....

Did it arrive like that or did you take it out of the stock to make some adjustments?

Agreed, for the cost of the Wildcat everything should be right. Can't wait for my .22 to show up. Thankfully AOA is about 1 hour north of me so if something isn't right with mine, I can just drive over there.
