FX “WILD-STREAM” or FX “CAT-LINE”!! What Would You Call It? Look ? Insde!!

Hello Airgun Nation Peoples,

Well, well, well... “Probably” my last modification on the FX Streamline. Here goes, if any body remembers back in 2016 when the FX Streamline .177/.22 prototype was introduced at IWA IN Germany it had a air cylinder who’s length ended even with the barrel. When the production model was released the air cylinder was two inches shorter. WHY? I wanted the gun like the prototype model ever since first seeing those videos(videos attached). So, I figured out how to mod my FX Streamline .22 to resemble that prototype model. 

How? Well, guess what? I learned through research that the FX Wildcat’s (.22cal) air cylinder was 230cc’s and only two inches longer, hmmm...? My Streamline (.22) has a 190cc air cylinder? Wondered if ithey would be interchangeable. Called FX Airguns USA, questioned Ernest Rowe to no end and it was a go! Next, step order one from them! Hit my door yesterday, carbon fiber wrapped it and completed the install!

Gained 10 more shots on the high (level 3 @ 36fpe / 950fps JSB 18.13) power setting! I’ll take that thank you!!!

More air = more shots
Still testing, but the lower power settings should yield even more shots per fill!

List of all mods. (In order)

1. Custom machined brass hammer spring adjustment screw, followed by tuning.

2. Pic-Rail and Bipod 

3. Huma-air regulator. (140bar factory setting was
130bar)

4. Huggett Moderator

5. Brass / gold trigger shoe.

6. Opening of air transfer port / power adjuster
( more power - level 3 = 36fpe, level 2 = 26fpe, level 1 = 16fpe)
(Facory = 3 - 30fpe, 2 - 20fpe, 1 - 10fpe) 

7. Carbon fiber wrapped barrel and air cylinder.

8. Hawke SideWinder FFP (4-16 x 50).

9. Hand Re-Finished (my hands) Walnut stock with clear gloss polyurethane.

10. 40cc larger 2 inch longer FX Wildcat .22 cal air cylinder (190cc to 230cc capacity)

I’ve got the 22 streamline in walnut. I like the 36fpe with the Huma setup, did you do streamline or wildcat Huma?

FX Streamline Huma regulator... Drilled my own vent hole in the cylinder for the Steamline Huma regulator plenum spacer. There was no vent hole on the ordered Wildcat air cylinder which let me decide on the plenum spacer. I chose to use the one I already had with the Streamline Huma reg.

"Wild-stream" sounds like taking a wiz after holding it for 8 hours, which also implies less accuracy. The "Fe-line" doesn't sound right. You increased the air on it, maybe you could call it the "Jet-stream"?

I dig the look of the carbon fiber wrap. Also love the look of it with the Huggett on the end. That gap between the end of the air cylinder and the start of the moderator has always bothered me about mine, but yours looks smooth and transitioned. I can’t say i’m too crazy about it without the Huggett on the end, it just looks like a weird over/under shotgun. Well done sir, I am envious of your talents.

25.39 JSB Monster shoot at 800 fps and are just as accurate as the JSB 18.13. The hammer spring adjustment screw was made buy a machinist in my town for a one time favor for me.. I practically had to beg him. Lol!

62 accurate shots @ 29 fpe w/ 18.13 gr on power level 2
