Im stuck i sold my crown mk2 to my brother for price i bought it for. Now the choice is hard should i get the same one or a bullpup just because its shorter but which one?

Depends on what you think you'll like, Obviously you were ready to move on but to what. Here you are asking a bunch of people fumbling around the Rabbit Hole® with their own biases. Personally I've got two Mavericks, one was a VP, but they come with Aluminum bottles and no hard case or Mod, so if that's not a big deal, there you go to save a few hundred. JMHO

I am more of a traditional rifle with wood stock guy.However, I just got a Maverick compact and I have to say I really like it. The compactness of it is absolutely awesome. Such a great gun to carry around. I would say go that route seeing for some reason you already didn’t keep the crown. No idea where to vote on wildcat vs Maverick. Basically the same platform. Can’t go wrong with either.

The only reason i sold the gun to my brother is cuz he was going to buy one and i told him to get the 600mm barrel and swap barrels with me because i had a 500mm which he wanted the shorter one...... i personally really enjoyed the crown mk2 but would like something shorter with bigger barrel if its an option and is comparable to the crown.i Thanks for the help ill take all the input i can get .

I just got a new Wildcat MK III BT Sniper in 25 cal. Bought it on a whim because the shop actually had one. No regrets. It's sweet handing and sweet shooting . I really like the larger 580cc bottle capacity on this one too. Next up, I may try a 22 call 600 mm barrel.

I’d suggest buy what you intended on purchasing. You wanted it for a reason. Shoot, tune, experiment for a bit. If it’s not what you hoped for, sell it in the classified section and move on

If you are ever planning to walk and hunt Id get a Wildcat for the ergo and lighter overall weight. I would like to suggest getting something with a CF bottle though since when you break down the extra cost they are a better value. Know that the VP versions dont have a hard case and have a lower max fill pressure etc. Also they are about 1lb heavier than a CF bottle version. My preference would be either:
1. Wildcat Compact BT (CF) or
2. Impact/Maverick 700mm
PS: Once you use a bullpup a bit it can be tough to pick up a long heavy air gun and feel the same way you once did lol. They are so nice and nimble while still having the option of a full length barrel if you want.

I agree with all the responses here too. You will have to experience each in your environment to make the choice for you. All have equal potential. You have had one of the three... Two more to go. Enjoy your journey.

I bought one from a buddy that was selling one. It leaked, we fixed it, and shortly after that it leaked again in a different place. He ended up buying it back, and sold it to some one else.
