FX vs JSB pellet

I recieved a couple of tins of Fx's the other day and I'll be giving them a try this week in my .25 condor. I bought them from Trenier and my first impression was a good one. Compared to the exact heavies I've gotten lately the quality of the Fx's was immediately noticeable.

I have just started going the extra mile with my pellets, washing and sorting. The Fx's weight spread was much tighter than the jsb's and when I measured the heads the Fx's were 100% the same, everyone was 6.31mm (not sure why not 6.35).

I can't say that for the jsb's I've been getting, quite a few more outside of the weight range and quite a few more head variations also, and depending on where I've purchased the jsb's can be a world of difference in how they're packaged.

I'm pretty sure the Fx's will be what I get from now on.

I'll post pics if I get some good groups. I lost accuracy in my gun so I'm making every variable as consistant as I can. I'm pretty sure that I lost accuracy when I was trying some slugs and eunjins, the choke appeared to have a bad buildup so, no more slugs or eun's for me.

Jim, I bought a tin of the Daystate Rangemasters spending the additional $5 per tin for some higher match grade pellets. I was dissapointed, the less expensive jsb's seemed to be the same in quality and performance.

I only bought the 34g pellets so I can't speak about the others, but I'll buy jsb's before spending extra on the daystate.

Thanks RickRick. I asked as those that carry Daystate pellets seem to have them in stock. I guess if I'm desperate I'll try them.

Was able to try some pellets today. I'm using a 2014 condor .25, 24" barrel with Randy's extreme valve, power wheel set at 1.

I tethered a 68ci paintball tank filled to 3500psi with a 1800psi regulator on it.

All pellets were 34g shot at 50 yds, FX (like MKI), Daystate Rangemasters (like MKII) and JSB MKI's

The first 45 shots were in the 940 to 950 fps range (had a total of 80 shots ending at 920 fps)

The FX's gave me the best group at 1" so these will be the ones I focus on, they started spreading as psi neared the 930 fps range, I'll increase fps to see if they tighten up.

Neither the Jsb MkII's nor the similar Daystate Rangemasters seem to do well in this gun.
