I have a FX Verminator and I want to adjust the hammer spring. I have taken the air tube off but I have not taken the air bottle connector off yet. Does it unscrew off the back of the receiver so I can get access to the hammer spring? Thanks, Scott

Yes bottle has a valve and you can unscrew, you have to unscrew tubing connector, loosen bottle adapter set screw remove bottle adapter to see the HSTA.
Note: when adjusting the HSTA if you screw it to far in the speed will decrease and to far out your bottle adapter will not go back to original position this will affect the line connection and adapter angle.
it's not worth adjusting the speed, if you have a lot of time removing all the interference to adjust the HSTA every time you don't see the right FPS on your crony. at FX we set the right depth of HSTA to get the highest speed. just stating what you are getting into before you jump in!

I had Don at AOA adjust my Verminator and it was shooting 865fps with 18gn JSB pellets on their Chrono. It was shooting 780 with the 18gn pellet.I shot birds with it for one day. I checked it on my Chrono the next day and it was around 830fps. I will check and see if anything moved when I open it again. Scott
