FX tune/accuracy/barrel/clean

You don’t have to retune after cleaning

Since you must pull the barrel to clean you WILL have to re zero but should be minimal.

If you use a cleaning solution in the barrel you WILL need to re season. Should take about 15 shots.

If you lube pellets the barrel will stay cleaner, longer and will be a quick clean. Mine takes only 2-3 patches.

You can clean the barrel without cleaner and you will not need to re season pull a couple of dry patches through Use a solution after a few dry cleanings, or not, your choice.

Use lube after breaking in the barrel. Clean often while breaking the barrel in.

Guess that’s it, enjoy shooting

Does that mean if using lube all the way from the start, (new barrel) prolong the break in period? Like say it would take 5000 shots to break in a barrel shooting pellets out of the box, and clean often, it may require 10000-15000 to break it in shooting lubed?

My experience with my used .22 Crown 500mm Barrel has been good. The person I bought it from didn’t shoot it that much. Since I’ve had it, I’ve shot 3000 pellets through it and have not cleaned it. I have took off the shroud and cleaned the lead dust off the sleeve. There is a ton of lead dust.

Shooting jsb hades or 18 grains 1/2 in groups are the norm at 50 yards unless the wind throws it off. Even then it just groups where the wind pushes it. I’d say just keep shooting it.
