FX STX Superior Liner in a .22 DreamPup?

Hello AirgunNation Peoples,

Think my FX .22 DreamPup was getting jealous.. Because my Wildcat MKII, MKIII, and Crown all in .25 caliber each have or were upgraded from FX Slug “A” Liners to STX Superior Liners. They all are shooting pellets and slugs very well.

So, the DreamPup was feeling kind of left out with it’s .22 Slug “A” Liner. For a time, .22 caliber STX Superior Liners were nowhere to be found for purchase, but low and behold UA has (maybe now had) them in stock! Long story made short, I purchased and installed a 600mm STX Superior Liner in my DreamPup .22 caliber. Today with a light drizzle of rain, I put three of the pup’s favorite ammo’s on paper @ 50 yards.

Are the FX STX Superior Liners the new all around pellet and slug barrels? For me a big YES! I never adjusted my scope or my aim point for each projectile @ 50 yards (held dead-on flat). The previous slug “A” liner had a different POI for the NSA 23 grains.

The DreamPup’s AMP regulator is set to 130 bar, a upgraded 600mm barrel from the stock 500mm barrel, has the DL plenum, a internal 2 inch aluminum plenum spacer, and it’s hammer spring is shimmed 3mm for more HST compression.

JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr. Average 960 fps for 36.34 fpe (TP @.25/.30 & HST @ “Level 4”)

NSA 23 gr. HP-FB .217, Average 945 fps for 45.62 fpe (TP @.25/.30 & HST @ “MAX”)

JSB Jumbo Monster 25.39 gr. Redesigned Average 907 fps for 46.39 fpe (TP @.25/.30 & HST @ “MAX”)

I believe I’ve moved on from slug liners and going to use the superior liners in my FX’s for all around slug or pellet shooting!

✌🏽

Nice shooting man. You got a performer for sure. I have not had time to put my new prophet through the paces on pellets or slugs 100 percent its been ridiculously hot here.

Nice! Those Prophet’s are neat airguns!

Nice results, would be interesting to see 100yards too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks maybe tomorrow! That was my last 8” shoot-n-see(I need to order more), may just use the steal gong for that one..

Saludos

Julián

My translator app is getting some use today! Lol

“I use the Google Chrome transnducer, read all your posts on the Wildcat MK3 and this one, here in Argentina, getting these rifles is very expensive, WCMK3 is $2700, there's a lot of taxes that make everything difficult.“

“I have a Daystate Airwolf 5.5, and I'm thinking of buying the Wildcat MK3 in 5.5”

“Greetings”

Julian

Those taxes sound like they suck my friend! Sorry... 😐 Glad you’re enjoying my posts though! Loving my Wildcat MKIII .25 Sniper its right up there in my favorites category with my .25 Crown! It’s a gem of a hunting bull-pup!!!

Gracias,

JoeKool

” None of this is a big deal, been happy with my Dreampup since cutting the tape on the shipping box. These barrels are only a steel piece of pipe that you screw on the action of a rifle . The entertainment you display over it is fascinating… ”

Yalel, I agree I am quite fascinating! No reason to troll me though. Let’s be friends? 🙃 lol!

I intend to buy a lot of monster but i dont have a chance to test my fx impact .22 ...was the jsb monster perform well at 100 yards? ...what is the grouping size in 5 shoots ?

I don’t measure groups much Marcobet38. I just eyeball them and say, yep that’ll work, small enough.. So this photo is all I have for you bud..

This gong is about 14 inches:
