FX Streamline Repair

I returned from a business trip and my gauge read "0."

I tried to charge my tank and air was spewing out the vent hole.

I took the tank off to look for problems and now I have air leaking from the fill end and the vent hole.

I'm just not sure where all these leaks are coming from. I have some spare orings but none for the regulator.

My question is: what do I need to do to return this rifle to FX in NC to have it fixed..

Is there a procedure? Return authorization?

Thanks

Does FX have ANY QC at the factory? Not a day goes by where someone doesn't have a problem. Are they just "too adjustable" for their own good? Am i wrong but does endless adjustability equal endless leaks? Seems like the simple designs like Rapid/RAW and Edgun are far less leak prone. Am i wrong here? Heck, i never had a leak problem of any kind with a Cricket, another very simple gun.

Hmmm, almost 2 years with my Puncher Breaker .22 and not 1 Single Problem. It will put an entire magazine (12 shots) into a single sub-half inch hole at 50 yds. I too have noted that not a day goes by without at Least 1 FX related problem. Just my opinion,so say what you will, but at 1500.00 to 2000.00+ dollars for these high-end products you would Think that it would be folks like myself with the low-cost rifles that would be the ones singing the Kraft Macaroni and cheese blues. Just my $.02.

Can't do 4-5 weeks.. Much too long...

I tried to order a Huma last week.. But CC was not allowed... only Paypal.. Now Huma is closed until 1-9.. ( I suppose that's September, 1)

Never had a leak issue with any AirArms. Problem is that do not make something like a Streamline...

These rear cocking rifles are too slow and cumbersome for hunting sparrows...( sorry boys)

I would order a Daystate today... but no side lever cocking ( like the SL) and the stocks are nicer than any piece of home furniture that I have in my house.. I and I some nice pieces.. To me that just stupid not to support a market that exists.. Synthetic, Synthetic!!!!..

I guess I'm just SOL and will order a Huma when they return and order Orings from Orings and more and fix the damn thing myself..

FX needs to focus on sealing technology and build rifles that do not leak.. I can not be that hard to design and mfg a rifle that implements modern seals that do not leak...

No way in heck will I buy another one.. Had my heart set on a Dreamline.. Not now!!!

Fair? Absoluty nothing to do with this?

My first FX trantula.. no leaks in 15+ years.

2nd FX Cyclone: no leaks. Sold it years ago to a friend.

3rd FX Superswift. Starting leaking after 10 years and I rebuilt it. NP.

4th FX. I bought in April. Put 1500 pleets thru it. On two occasions air leaked out the "vent." also leaked out the fill port area. And the damn thing goes nuts every now again with just a "sputter" i.e. low velocoty pellet.

Should this rifle have this many issues? He'll no!

I'm in the middle of killing sparrows and my "tool" fails.. this is BS.

And all this crap about buying a FX and having to put a "Huma" on it.. also BS.. yes, I will but a Huma.. but why not put ( supposedly the best) something worth a crap on a rifle in the 1st place?..

Totally agree. You'd think that people would eventually tire of being the builder's beta testers. WAAAY too many high-end guns with new-in-box problems.

Hello, I have two fx, a streamline .25 that I bought this year and a wildcat .22 that I bought the previous year. I have not had any problems with them, I do a session and I charge them with a strictly standard yong heng and I leave them in my gunsmith. I've noticed the failure of the Wildcat that needs two empty shots for the regulator to work properly, but that's not a problem for me. I have disassembled the tank of my WC and it is completely dry, without adding anything to my compressor for an extra drying. I am very happy with my fx weapons, a problem of orings, it is not a problem, they are pieces of wear and you have to be prepared. It is my opinion. a greeting. I put the original text because the translator is not very reliable

Willing to bet there are a higher number of fx guns out there in peoples hands. Just a law of averages.

...which might explain why "Not a day goes by where someone doesn't have a problem" with that brand.

My Daystate Regal Xl .177 and my Daystate Wolverine B hi lite .22 have both been back to the vendor for leak issues -- twice in the case of the Wolverine.

Neither of those aforementioned Daystate rifles has a factory installed "Huma" regulator, nor any other regulator for that matter.

When you add it to the cart and click the PayPal button you should be able to pay through PayPal with your CC and no PayPal account. They are just using PayPal as their credit card processor at that point.

Hope that helps.

i called FX in NC this morning and explained the the issues. They were very nice and provided me a Fedex shipping label. I delived the well packaged Streamline to Fedex at around 12:00 pm.. one person said "several weeks" and another said warranties take priority and will be repaired within a week. We shall see.

I'll let you all know the progress.. just for an FYI.
