Fx slugs grouping anyone?

Me and probably a lot of folks want to know how accurate these slugs are. Have anyone actually test them for accuracy? Like do 5 to 10 shot groups at 50 yards, 100 yards, 150 yards and maybe even 200 yards. And tell us the speed you're shooting them at one what liners or rifle. I've seen Utah airgun and matt from Africa test thest slugs but they only test for expansion into clay and killing pigeons. I dont really care about the expansion or how well it kills birds. Even a pellet will put them down. I'm really interested in how well the are grouping at long distance but can not find anyone showing video of it. Accuracy is more important than expansion. Expansion means nothing if you cant hit your target 100-200 yards away.

I saw this with airgun hunters at 9:50 they shoot some steel looks like 1.5 1nd 2.5 inch groups with different guns at 100 yards in light wind.

Utah airguns does a 200 yard 4in steel target in even more wind and still looks like he holds a 2.5-3inch group. So it looks like they are accurate enough once the gun is tuned for them.

I'm sure there is more out there and yet more to come.

I shot mine last night out of my daystate Regal XL and I could only get about 580 feet per second and I wouldn't even call it a group it was like a shot pattern. With the same gun shooting jsb Hades at 900 feet per second and about a three-quarter inch group at 50rds just for comparison. The Slugs chamber extremely hard in my regal so I assume that's why the velocity is so low

Yes, here ya go. Working on video to follow.

200 yards with a 22 grain slug ?

If you watched Matt's video he talked about these slugs being a middle ground to pellets and the slugs already on the market. And there not ment to replace the conventional heavier slug already in use for ultra long range....These are designed for hunting and pest control and from what I've seen so far in the videos out on YouTube they are doing the job!

Well I was surprised to see that they shoot a little slower than the varmint knocker 24s but accuracy is very good….I also chronied the 24s in warm weather!

860 fps with a 14 mph wind quartering from the right behind me and 44 degrees….two 10 shot groups from the bench at 50 yards! The second group the wind was gusting some but still respectable.

I'm impressed to say the least and am going to make a trip to the dairy farm this week for sure for some starling and pigeon bashing!!!!

Ohh come on Bob! Get out there and take one for the team! 😂

This I can tell y’all. I got some VKs (I’m sure they work great with slug liners) and they did pretty bad out of my Cricket. Now, these FX, or Rat something or other hybrids are minute of squirrel at 30 to probably 45 yards, so yeah, if it’s a slug I need to shoot, it will be the hybrids. Now, at 35 yards or so, pellets will do the same job, or better for me, I think. Still need to test them out on a squirrel or two, will let ya know then!

Chuckhunter, what is the group size comparison between the hybrids and the NSA 17.5s out of your Veteran long? I’m sure the hybrids are a little longer. I’ve not tried either yet but I’m sitting on 400 17.5s thinking that the .2165 diameter might be the hot ticket without losing a bunch of speed in the .22 long. I might wait till the 19gr. hybrids come out to try a 100. Thanks

I can confirm fx slugs are grouping roughly 30% better than all of my NSA Slugs using different tunes.

fx impact mk 2 .22 700mm

my impact likes 23 gr NSA slugs .218 diameter @ 935-940 fps. I get about .75 inch groups at 50 yards Some fliers and some one hole groups.

Fx hybrid slugs are even more accurate at 935fps(Extreme spread of 5), likes the same speed as the NSA. .50 inch groups less fliers and much more one hole groups. Only thing is the Fx slugs are 3 times the price of NSA slugs!!!!! So i can’t afford much more than testing them atm.

FX slugs in my .22 R5M, 930 fps, putting sub 1/2 inch groups at 50 yrds. The 22 gr VK dish base do the same. NSA's group about 3/4" but still quite acceptable for a hunting round. In fact, I can't get regular pellets or Hades to group as well as the slugs, but probably because when I run them they are over 1050 fps, trans-sonic.

Question. I am shooting JSBs 18gr at 930 FPS out of my edgun R3. Any idea about what FPS I would get out of the fx 22gr slugs with no adjustments to my gun? I would consider using FX slugs but not exclusively. JSBs are fine for 90% of my shots. Would only use FX slugs if I could use both.

You most likely can expect about 100fps drop in speed but still might be very accurate....
