Fx slug from pellet liner vs slug liner

I seen people posting videos of how the fx slug expansion due to its hollow point but I have not find any video of anyone actually testing the new fx slug from both a pellet liner and a slug liner and compare them side by side to which one shoot them more accurately. The point of the fx slug is so people can shoot them from their pellet liner right? Then why hasn't anyone actually do some testing and show us the results from a pellet liner compare to a slug liner so we can see is its actually shoot better from a pellet liner or a slug liner. I would do the testing but I do not own a slug liner. Anyone have both liners can do the test and some us videos...not just pictures.

They're supposed to perform well in a wide range of barrels. I'd still expect the slug liner to work better. But the difference may be negligible?

I cut up my pellet liner in a lab experiment

. And I've had great success with 36gr boat tails in my 22. No reason to switch

Thats what fx wants you to think. But do we really know If it shoot just as good if not better from a normal pellet liner/barrel. Why dont they give us the results side by side comparison with a pellet liner and a slug liner to see which one is actually better. Seem fishy. So I make a new slug and I say oh it shoots way good out of any barrel, would you believe me and take my words for it without me giving you any proof or results from real life testing?

We’re all looking for that magic bullet. The one that shoots great in every gun. I’m sure these FX slugs will be a benefit to some but they aren’t going to be head and shoulders above all others.

The hope is they shoot better in a pellet barrel then other slugs. It’s going to take some testing and time to see if that goal has been reached. My guess is they probably will in some guns but not alll.

I will be surprised if they are proven to be a game changer .

Don’t buy into the FX hype . H&N slugs shoot from both liners and most guns , just as good if not better than FX slug and far cheaper

Don’t forget most of the vids showing how good these FX slugs are , are sponsored by FX

That's my point. Lots of these fx fan boys who will believe anything fx says. Fx said their gun will hit 1 inch target at 1,000 yards. People will believe it and go buy their $2000 guns thinking they will hit 1 inch targets at 1,000 yards. I love to see fx slug go against h&n slugs and See which is better. I saw airgun depot did some 100 yard groups with the fx slug. They weren't that impressive. I've seen pellets do better at that distance. The thing is they didnt take the time to test it in a pellet liner. They shot from a slug line only. Wish they shot from both slugs and pellet liner.

They have a shoot out between a slug liner and a stx at 10 min.

So the slug liner shoots them better. They claim these slugs are very accurate. But I can shoot tighter groups with jsb pellets vs those fx slug. On the pellet liner with fx slug he said 7.5cm. That's 2.9inch at 100 yards. And the slug liner shoot them 5cm, that's 1.9inch. I can shoot pellets under an inch at 100 yards. Ted showed he shot jsb 30 cal pellets and got .65inch at 100 yards. So kinda false advertising claiming these slugs are very accurate. I bet nsa slugs are way more accurate than that and 2.5 times cheaper.

Please post some targets for us!

I don’t see where he is biased. He’s asking for data....proof that they perform better. I haven’t seen anybody provide this either which is odd considering all the youtube boys.

All this nonsense about "hype" and fanboys.......I've not seen any evidence that they DON'T perform.

I shot these from a pellet liner at 55 yards, they just kept hitting the same spot. And 1" at 105 yds in the wind.......700mm pellet "A" liner.

I’m have some FX-Hybrid’s on order and can’t wait to try them in my RW I just tried some NSA 20.2’s and was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy at 65yds so can only believe “HOPE” the FX slugs are even better? But I’m still a NSA fanboy! They have shot well in 3 different guns that have enough power to shoot them! Very consistent Plus his service is excellent

There will always be a place for traditional slugs. I have a whole bunch of 30gr slugs that I am saving for next spring/summer when I will be going for 300yd shots.

The Hybrids are excellent for shooting small birds at 100+ yds in the wind. I shot a lot of 18gr pellets at 100yds and the hit rate wasn't that high when the wind kicked up. The Hybrids pack a punch and perform well in the wind.

I have found the sponsored folks and FX claims to be pretty much right on in all of my testing. They don't seem to sugarcoat much of anything but seem to be fairly conservative in their claims. As most of us know the tune is everything and I expect with a good tune the FX slugs will be the equal,or near to it, of pellets and other available slugs out and about. You might look at the way they measured their groups, in the video, as most measure center to center they measured from closer to the edge of the splattered lead. So, in reality the groups they shot are much smaller than what they have stated. I have shot allot of NSA slugs and they are very accurate out of my slug barrel as are the JSB pellets. My FX slugs are on order and after a thorough tune I expect them to shoot quite well from what I have seen from several posts on the net. Then I will go back to my NSA's, which I have a good stash of, because as you point out they cost so much less.

These show their accuracy a bit better
