Fx Royale barrel issue (SOLVED)

"sniperlabyo"I machine proper size delrine Shim and place it inside the inletting for the stock screw --- it's on the bottom of your photo, over time your shim will get thinner not like the delrine.
Maybe yes, but it's easy to replace :)
The paperboard will be compressed inside the stock until one point. I think even the compressed paperboard will be enough to leave the desired gap, so i don't think it will be necessary to replace over time.

Widget23Which Royale was this? I was just looking at replacing the aluminum bottle on the Royale 500 with the FX CF bottle.
It's the version solded in Europe. It originally comes with the power adjuster and aluminum 400cc bottle (that's why the shroud has the slot to leave the bottle slides in and out) and i bought the CF bottle separately. The CF bottle is a little bit bigger so it tend to touch the shroud. But as you can see it can be solve in a matter of minutes :)
It's the same action as the US version, the only difference is the original bottle and the shroud :)

AirbuksI have bought recently a FX CF bottle to replace the aluminium on my R500 , but the neck of the bottle is wider then the alu bottle and doesnt fit the stock .
So now i have the idea of shaving my laminated stock to fit it .Did anyone have the same problem ?
It doesn't even fit the stock? Or it fit but the stock is pressing the cf bottle upwards?

If you can please take a pic of your stock without the action but with the cf bottle placed where it should be, and take a pic from the front part. I wanna see how much of clearance there is. I mean, if the cf bottle is much wider, then there should be a clearance on the bottom part of it not allowing to let the bottle screw in.
It's posible that placing the paperboard can solve the issue anyways. Your problem is the same i was having, but in a more serious way

I bought my royale 400 back in January and it has the cf bottle. I thought the clearance between the bottle and barrel was excessively narrow especially since it doesn't take much pressure on the barrel to cause it to flex. Then again I figure that's how all these floating barrel bottle guns are since they pretty much all have this same configuration. In practice, it hasn't been an issue and shoots great. However, I wouldn't be surprised if in the future FX widens that gap a bit somehow.

I took some pictures , I think I will have to sand it abite to give it some space .
Its about 0,5 mm on each side , the walls are thick enough .
How much clearance do you have between the stock and the bottle neck .

My Royale is 1 year old and then the carbon bottles wore not available as now , maybe FX changed something in the stock to have more clearance .
Mine is also a European high power version with only 2 stage power adjustments instead of 3 .

Pretty weird, but it looks like you'll have to shim the stock. I had misunderstood you, now i get you and it seems you will have to sand it.
I can't tell you right now the clearance on mine because i have not the gun with me, but tomorrow i will and i will check it and let you know.
Anyways, shim the stock on that part does not seems to be a hard work to do and you not will regret it once you see the diference on off hand shooting and balance
