Tuning FX Royale and DreamTact Compact bottle switch

Need some simple advise. I have a new model 500 Royale with a 480cc CF bottle and a .25 DreamTact Compact (power plenum installed) with a 300cc CF bottle. Both are original configuration from the factory/dealer. I would like to be able to put the 480cc bottle on the DreamTact. Are they directly compatible? Can I just unscrew the bottles directly under pressure or do I need to degas both first? Any nuances? I think I read that the bottles should be loosened slowly until there is a light air release, then continue. Much appreciated.

YES BUT BE SLOW I REMEMBER THE OLD ROYALE 500CC BOTTLES HAD NO VALVES IF I REMEMBER THE CARBON BOTTLE SHOULD HAVE A VALVE IN IT

douger is correct about the older Royale. You can't unscrew bottle under pressure. I don't know about the newer models & if they've changed that aspect of the Royale so be VERY careful! Go to FXUSA website & look up diagram (under "Support" I believe)

I don't know how old my Royale 400 is, think I've had it 5 years or so, and it has a CF bottle. I removed/replaced it more times than I can count when replacing the regulator. It definitely has a one-way valve.

A picture of the end of the bottle on the gun with the stock off will answer it. But if it has a CF bottle like said above 99.9% chance it's got the one way valve. And you can just swap them pressurized but go slow and let it bleed off that bit of pressure in the gun slowly.

I have worked on a couple of Royale, if it has a valve it will stop leaking after a couple of turns I have had the valve leaking after you get it off you will know if there is a valve in it, by the way if you don’t turn it far enough it will drain the tank
