FX Royale 500 and H&N Grizzlies

Any Royale 500 (.25) owners out there who've tried H&N Grizzlies? Being on fixed income I try to prioritize on my airgun expenditures. Just curious how well these shoot out of the Royale. I'd be happy to trade a fistful of polymags, Hunter Extreme, JSB Heavies, MarkII or even some varmint knockers (fit VERY loosely in the mag & gun didn't like 'em). PM me if you want to swap or just post if you have personal experience with this combo. Thanks

I haven't tried any in my 500 but I haven't seen Grizzlies work well in any PCP. If you are looking for a pellet with a relative high BC, the King Heavy MKII BC is 0.046. I'm not sure what the Grizzlies are but this very high BC for a pellet and they are proven accurate.

I tried the Grizzlys in my Royal 500 .25 My gun could not hold a decent group with them. My gun prefers JSB 25.39 first and H&N Baracuda Match 30.86 second, Baracuda Hunter Extreme 28.24 third and H&N Crow Magnum 26.24 a distant fourth. The JSB MKll 33.95 did not preform well either.

It's so surprising how the same pellet will shoot in different guns of the same model. I have two Royale 500s and both are set to shoot the same power level. One shoots the MK2s better than the Kings and the other is the opposite.

I have some H&N Grizzly .25 cal coming in the mail. I will test them out this weekend or early next week. If they don't pass the test in my gun, I will be happy to trade them out. By the way, I got a tin from Field Supply for $6.59 this weekend (Father's Day sale) and free shipping b/c my order was over $25 (just a heads up).

those Smooth Twist barrels are very pellet fussy, if you want to be extremely accurate, tune it to shoot the jsb exact king 25.39 between 880 and no more than 915fps.... those barrels are completely designed arround that pellet!!

My streamline would do 2 inch groups at 40 yds with them.

My Royale 500 shoots JSB Exact 25.39, MKII'S, Hunter Extreme, Barracuda & Polymags (in a single shot tray or with enough of the tip clipped off to fit in mag) VERY accurately. Was just curious about other's experience with Grizzlies but the negatives seem to outweigh the positives. Not so curious anymore. On the Polymags, I'm surprised at what little appreciable difference there is in accuracy when I clip the tips to fit them in rotary magazines. I hunt with them quite frequently. I'm just looking for as much energy transfer to my targets as I can get. I'll try some Crow magnum I guess & see how they work.
