Congrats on the 400! It's one of my favorites of all time.
Yes, the FX rings will fix the magazine clearance. You can also use any "High" rings. But, as Steppenwolf mentioned, you just might end up cranking on the scope elevation.
I would also recommend getting a single shot tray.
This is the best one to get,
by far, IMO.
Clean the barrel before you shoot. Do not shoot below 100bar, ever. It's a good idea to get a base line by shooting and counting. You can do multiple things at once. Fill all the way then, start shooting. If you have a crony, great! If not, you can still learn a lot.
Count your shots as you go. If you just cleaned your barrel, your accuracy may be off for 20, or so, shots. So, don't get too caught up with those. After that, watch your accuracy. You should have about 40+ good, consistent shots. They usually come in around 230-220bar. Keep shooting and shooting. It's a good idea to write down your pressure every ??(10, 15, 20) shots as well. At some point, your "POI" (Point Of Impact) will start to wander and then drop. This is what we call "falling off" the reg. It means the reg pressure and bottle pressure are close which causes the reg to struggle. You're not doing any harm, though. Over a crony, it will show as a speed increase with a drastic and steady decrease right after.
One more thing about the reg and using a crony. Your reg is new and can take some time to settle in. This could be over the course of 100 shots or, it could take 500 shots. I've heard of both scenarios.
I've got a few videos on
cleaning methods you might use as well as a video I did for beginners where I used the Stormrider to show the concept of how I
decode a rifle.
