Glad to see you got it going, and going well I should add! It's a great rifle, arguably the best value on the market, and the only FX product I care to own. I hope they keep it around. And don't let the black cleaning patch fool you into thinking the barrel needs frequent cleaning. You could probably clean it every 5 shots and see a similar patch. Wait until accuracy falls off to clean. You'll be waiting a long time.

Welcome to the world of VERY HAPPY FX Royale and Boss owners! Incredibly simple, reliable, accurate & repeatable rifles. Magazine just slides in & stays in place. I get hole in hole groups all day @ 50 yards. I mostly hunt & depend on my 500 & Boss. They NEVER let me down. The JSB pellets they were designed around work best but I use Predator Polymags at times for hunting though I have to clip enough of the tip to get them in magazines. Polymag shorts would probably work for your gun if you "verminate".
