FX Royale 400 .22 cal no air when firing rifle

Hello,

I just installed a complete regulator o ring and air gun o ring overhaul on a FX Royale 400 .22 rifle. Everything appeared to go well until I loaded the magazine, pulled the trigger-no pellet came out. Zero air came out of the rifle. What should I be looking for to resolve this problem?

Did the hammer hit the valve? Did you put the reg in the right way with the nut towards the trigger end of block?

I believe the hammer hit valve, and the nut is towards trigger end. I rebuilt the complete valve seat. Is that what the hammer strikes?

The valvepin seals against the valve seat, when the hammer hits the valve pin they seperate letting the air for the shot out. Sounds like something is put together improperly or an o-ring issue.

also something stupid , is the barrel transfer port aligned

Did you set the regulator length back exactly were it was with a set of calipers? Also the Belleville washer, did you stack them in same way as they originally were?

This often happens if the reg isn't set right , it will just lockout.

I double checked valve, every item seems to be in order. I double checked barrel transfer port, its good also. The regulator rebuild I Replaced the following:

2 outside o rings

3 inside o rings I did not disassemble the Belleville washers or removed the locking distance nut

1 plastic plug

When I pull the trigger, there’s no resistance!

I would give Ernest Rowe a call tomorrow, will probably save a lot of grief in the long run.

I haven't worked on any royals to give you more specific advice

Sounds like its not cocking, sear is in correctly on the rear most pin?

When I cock it, it feels normal on full range of motion. There was no disassembly of pellet probe or cocking lever, its a head scratcher!!

YOU SHOULD BE ABL TO PUSH PIN WITH LEVERAGE AND IT SHOULD DRAIN , IF IT DOESNT REG IS SO FAR OUT OF ADJUSTMENT NO AIR IS ENTERING THE REGULATED SIDE , LET US KNOW

I can see hammer strike valve, no air comes out. Move valve with wooden stick- no air

Is the gauge showing pressure? Bottle screwed down snug? Sounds like the regulator isn't letting any air pass through to the plenum space. Could also be that the regulator is passing full bottle pressure and the hammer strike is not enough to open the valve.

Thanks to everybody who took the time to help me out. No leaks shoots like a dream! The regulator was out of adjustment by.070”. Reviewed Ernest procedures on FX regulators. Again thanks to every one who provided info!!
