FX Royal 400- Like I needed another airgun.

The AOA used section has been responsible for wearing the numbers off my credit card lately.

I called them morning to ask about the FX Royal 400 FT they have listed on the used section. I said it is confusing me because I can’t find anything about it online with that chassis. Sales guy said yeah, it confused him also and asked I believe the sales manager.

He said yes, there is nothing online about them because they only made ten. 😂

So I either bought a rare rifle or a marketing failure.

Now the wait for the brown truck.

I will have to see when I get it if it has a regulator. If not I will add one. Anyone have any input on it. I see Huma makes a drop in. Alstros makes one the goes between the bottle and frame.

I believe it's an aftermarket stock. Saw a video that showed a Boss with the same stock. If I can find it I'll post the link. You just got yourself a GREAT gun, Extreme Benchrest worthy! My Boss & Royale 500 (.25 cal) have OEM regs & performance is flawless. This platform is designed around JSB pellets & they will give you optimum performance. No slugs, Original Smooth Twist barrels just don't shoot em well.

EDIT: Here's that link

Rifle came was delivered this afternoon. Wow! This thing is awesome. I don’t have an actual number but it is heavy.

I threw a bug buster on it just to try it out. I ran the three power settings over the chrono and it is 30 ftlbs on high, 18 on medium ten or so on low.

I have more rifles than I would care to admit. And the accuracy just sitting down sighting it in floored me.

Now for the wacky part. The gun is disgusting dirty. The trigger pin has been replaced with a nail. There is strange blue goop on the stock. TG scratched his initials in the magazine. I would be curious as to the life this thing has had. Somebody was clearly enjoying it. 😜

I need to order the trigger pin and adjust it. Right now it is very light with no actual stage. Just squeeze and bang.

I can not figure out how to get the chasis of the action. The front and back sections and the pistol grip come off but the center section holding the action won’t budge.

I am somewhat tempted to strip the black paint off the grip and cheek rest . They are wood, just not sure what the paint is hiding. Worst case I repaint them.

Also, all the other stuff I have seen on these have metal bottles not carbon.

So, any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Any higher capacity magazines? 🤪
