FX Royal 400 FT tacticool color choice.

I have another thread on the rifle but looking for some color ideas. The factory furniture is black painted wood but has almost a bed liner texture that I’m not really a fan of.

I was hoping under the paint was fancy walnut but just plain old hardwood.

So, any color ideas?

sand it smooth, couple coats of rattle can silver then a couple coats of Duplicolor Anodized red..... or green or maybe Purple. they have some cool "anodized" colors in a rattle can

if you have the ability to airbrush or spray "bulk" paint, createx makes some cool colors and they have some how-to vids on line

I like the anodized idea.

I was thinking laying on several different bright colors in different coats and then sanding back for a laminate look but I like your idea. If nobody hears from me for a few days I fell down the YouTube rabbit hole if anodized paint effects.

The original paint is far too deep to sand all the way out so paint will be the route. But I already like it better with just the blonde wood. The original coating all though factory had an almost diy feel to it.

The styer grip is close to being a direct fit. Anyone have an xtra they want to donate?

You can also use an Ambi grip from a Hammerli AR20 on that chassis with light mods to the grip. You need to glue in 2 spacers in the slot at the top of the grip to remove rotational slop and it will work.
The Hammerli grip is a Walther product and was used on the lower budget models of the LG300 and maybe the LG400 as well.

Did you check the fit of an AR style grip on it?

That support rib is screaming 'red pinstripe' to me regardless of furniture color!
