fx royal 400 bottle removal?

"TonyT"If I remember correctly, the 400cc bottle on the FX400 can be unscrewed as there is sufficient clearance between the bottle and the moderator on the end of the barrels while the 500cc bottle on the FX500 cannot be removed until you partially remove the barrel since the moderator on the end of the barrel does not provide sufficient clearance.
Yes, you are correct, the R500/Boss bottle can only be removed when you remove the barrel.
In theory all FX bottles are all interchangeable, (same fitting) but the indent on the barrel shroud might be in the way when fitting a R500 bottle to a R400.
With a bit of work, it is possible to slide the whole shroud assy a bit forward, but I don't really see the need for that. When a 500 bottle is installed, you can't swap bottles in the field anyway without sliding the whole shroud assy forward. FX rifles are air sippers anyway, and among the most efficient guns out there regarding air usage.

Regulated or not, the Royales are indeed pretty consistent without regulator, but with a regulator, your shot count will be even higher, and also the ES will shrink even more.
As a plus, in case of the R500, you can fill it to 250 bar (max. W.P. of the bottle) instead of 220 bar, same as the fill pressure of the Boss when a regulator is installed.

here is my plan guys.........I want a royal 400 in .177 but I'm going to ask my dealer to instead to ship it with a 500 cc bottle installed and I don't know weather to get the gun reged or in reged.
my play is is to use the 500 cc bottle for bench rest and fielt target andthen when hunting times comes around.. switch the bottle to a 48cc carbon to save a pound for a walk about rifle.
the rifle will be shipped without a shroud or a muzzle break of any kind. so since the will be no shroud or break it shouldn't be any problem to install or remove any bottle correct?
