FX radar mounting ideas?

I think the ways that they mount to the barrel (rubber bands or velcro) or to attachments are the most consistent and repeatable.

I have found that I don’t like tripods or just sitting it on the table, because it is too easy to move the rifle into a different distance from the chrono. The readings can change slightly the further away the barrel is or the further forward and back it is on the rifle. Only by attaching it to the rifle, have I been able to keep the consistent mounting position and therefore consistent readings.

This is what I do. I don't mix chrono testing and target shooting so a direct barrel connection is fine for me. Just a simple strip of rubber and sticky sided velcro for an adjustable fit.

I try to mount about 3" behind the muzzle and usually don't get any missed shots.
