FX Radar Chrono - Audio went away?

I have had an FX Radar Chrono for over a year, and several weeks ago my audio went away. There is an audio on/off setting and whether I enable or not, I no longer receive audio instant feedback like I used to get with each shot. I do get the screen output FPS velocity for each shot, but no audio. My iPhone volume is turned up.

Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks, Tom

OK, this may be a dumb answer, but I had this happen the other day. The switch on the side of my iPhone XS Max was set to vibrate/silent mode, and I wasn't getting audio from the FX chrony. It took me a while to figure it out (closed the app, turned the crony on and off), but I flipped the switch, and voila, I had audio.

Bingo! Was watching GMA and saw your reply. I looked at my IPhone and sure enough the vibrate switch was in the “off” position. I’ll head out to the garage later and flip the switch to “on” and shoot a pellet into the pellet trap with the Chrono strapped on and test. I’m almost positive this is the fix.

Thanks Mike!

Glad to hear it! These phones have so many ways to control the same functions, it’s easy to get crossed up sometimes. I speak from experience.

Boy, is that ever the truth. Thanks everyone for your help.

Side comment on the FX Radar: I think I have seen some other recent posts whereby this FX Radar unit recorded about 6 FPS faster than a Pro Chrono. I would love to see a shot string comparison between an expensive and very high quality Lab Radar and the FX Chrono.

Regardless, for my purposes the accuracy is close enough, even if it is off + / - 5 or 6 FPS.

You can calibrate the FX Chrono + or -2%. Don’t forget when you shoot using the other chronograph to account for the distance for each chrono from the muzzle. ChairGun can give you an idea how many fps to add or subtract.

Thanks, but I don’t have any other Chrono. I’m hoping someone with a Lab Radar sees this thread.
