I consider myself competent to understand and use computer and smart phone apps. I've owned the original FX Pocket Chronograph for several years. There have been several automatic software upgrades installed on my phone which have complicated the app. Most of these updates aren't even shown in the app's operating manual.
Here's where I am confused. The shot string summary page no longer includes both fpe (energy) and fps (velocity) like it used to. On the settings page there is a velocity option. I have fps as primary unit and fpe as the secondary unit. They no longer both appear. I can get one or the other, not both as before. Under settings-options I have all main screen options enabled yet it doesn't show fpe. It makes no sense why both shouldn't appear just as in previous versions.
I think FX has overcomplicated the chrony software and has made a simple chrony confusing with unnecessary options.
Edit: After submitting this post I have found something I hadn't seen before. If I go to the view shots option at the bottom of the shot string page I have always seen the graph of the shot string. If I touch the word "Graph" it changes to "Table" which shows both fps and fpe per shot. This is good to know but I still wonder why shot string summary page only shows fps unless I change the Settings-Velocity to FPE as primary unit which will then omits FPS from the shot string page. That change makes no sense to me and is a downgrade from the original software.
